1 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of the platform, and technical information about your device and connection. Specifically:

Account Information: Name, email address, business name, phone number, and password when you register or join the waitlist.

Business Data: Products, orders, inventory data, customer records, and other content you upload or create within the platform.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, clicks, and actions taken within the Service — used to improve the platform.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referral URLs collected automatically.

Communications: Messages you send to our support team or feedback you submit during the beta program.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the BagTick platform and its features
  • Process transactions and send related notifications and receipts
  • Send product updates, beta announcements, and launch communications
  • Respond to your support inquiries and provide customer service
  • Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and prioritize product improvements
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We will always ask for your explicit consent before using your information for any purpose not listed above.

3 Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (e.g., hosting, payment processors, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BagTick, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, with advance notice to affected users.
  • With Your Consent: In any other case, only with your explicit prior consent.

4 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections including encryption at rest (AES-256), encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), and regular security audits.

Beta Note: During active development, data may be stored on staging environments. While we take security seriously, we recommend not storing highly sensitive production data during the beta phase.

We implement access controls, audit logs, and multi-factor authentication for internal systems access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

5 Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Maintain your login session and authentication state
  • Remember your preferences and settings within the platform
  • Analyze how users interact with features (anonymized analytics)
  • Improve performance and debug issues

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

7 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain data for longer periods where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

8 Children's Privacy

BagTick is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

9 Third-Party Services

The platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, social media platforms). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you connect to BagTick.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent in-app notice before they become effective. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
